Say goodbye to wooden floors, and say hello to fabulous glass floor designs. Up until a few years ago, walking on a glass floor was not only unheard of but also quite dangerous and scary. With breakthroughs in glass-making technologies, however, that’s a thing of the past.

Glass floors in today’s houses are a smart solution for darkest parts of a home, where daylight reach isn’t sufficient. They can also be utilized as attractive focal points or to show something fascinating below the house, such as an ocean view, aquarium, waterfall or art collection. If done correctly, a glass floor design can completely transform the ambiance of a home.

This modern apartment shows how glass floor design can be infused beautifully into the interiors, making it an excellent feature for ultra-modern homes. More specifically, the design showcases how glass floors can be leveraged not only to spruce up dark living spaces and turn them into a bright oasis but also add a touch of modern and fresh appeal to the interior design.

Modern Apartment With Attic Space

The brainchild of architects Ion Popusoi and Bogdan Preda, this snazzy modern apartment building is nestled on Cetatuia Street, overlooking the historical center of the city of Brașov, Romania. With a breathtaking panoramic mountain views, it is not hard to see why the site was chosen. The design of the 6 apartments and 2 lofts flow effortlessly from room to room, and interior to exterior thanks to the bang-up job the designers and architects did.

When the client contracted Ion Popusoi + Bogdan Preda, they wanted a compact, ultra-luxurious building that exploited and accentuated the captivating aspects of the landscape and site, all while making maximum use of the available space. And the result is simply spectacular. “This led to a compact building, very conscious of the value of the site and of the panoramic views it could offer,” said the director of Engineering Rozini Client Micomis.
