If you’re looking for an oasis in the city, then this balcony apartment is probably exactly what you’re looking for. It’s completely out of the ordinary and is an inspiring place to live for those lucky enough to own a unit here. What stands out most is how much this apartment unit contrasts with conventional modern design, where concrete often dominates the skyline. The space looks truly serene, with all of the details matching up, even down to the subtle guard rail fencing. There’s greenery, striking gold and neutrals in the ensemble, making it a clever spatial solution for those who are limited on square footage.

The standout features, of course, are the vertical slat screening, which wraps around the entire space, giving it a creamy white appearance. There’s plenty of movement in the design, giving light a chance to play differently across the building at various times of day. You can imagine this particular apartment looking completely different in the morning compared to the evening.

The architectural design is built from the ground up to be organic. This means that it is softening modern lines and sculpting interests in a way that would otherwise be harsh and utilitarian. It is a step change from the modern obsession with making everything functional and designing it to be as profitable as possible. This is a living space which does more than maintain economic principles.

The upper level is more rhythmic in its pattern with bold black trim that contrasts nicely against the black panels, making it look a bit like the separators in a file folder. The flooring is clean, and the shape of the balcony slat screening changes as the building rises in height, drawing the eye upwards and helping the entire ensemble reach a crescendo.

On the balcony itself, there is the lushness of the greenery combined with some carefully chosen accessories. The tall and dramatic palm brings some height and tropical vibes to the space, while the dragon tree is more textural and architectural, something which is used in many designs in other parts of the world. There is also an attractive dog statue and a minimalist watering can to keep the garden a living and green space ready for anybody to enjoy.

Most of the plants are minimalist and go well with the matte concrete effect elsewhere. There’s something terribly sophisticated and textured about the whole scene, which makes it much more attractive to young professionals and other buyers. Ultimately, the balcony succeeds because the outdoor space is receiving the same care and attention as an indoor room. The curved screen makes the entire building feel less monolithic, despite the number of units that are available. It also keeps air flowing, which is useful in a polluted environment or in a city where things get warm. All of the accents work well together, particularly the black accents on the window and the trim around the balcony ceiling.

Is this a good place for you to start sipping your coffee in the morning?
