There’s something very interesting going on in New York City lately. And it includes incredible amounts of money. Let’s just say you are about to see one of the most impressive penthouse apartments in New York City at the moment.
Ever heard of One Madison Park? If not, One Madison is gorgeous skyscraper located right on the Madison Avenue in one of the Manhattan’s most dynamic neighborhoods, Flatiron district. The building was constructed in 2011 and it attracted some serious attention with its slimness, elegance and height while towering above everything around it. Even though the height of 188 m (617 ft) was nothing impressive compared to other New York’s skyscrapers, location of One Madison skyscraper created an opportunity for some seriously expensive penthouse apartments.
And developers took that opportunity. Apartments officially hit the market in September last year (2013) asking from $3 million to more than $37 million per apartment. (you can see and buy them here). But the most impressive of all is a four storey penthouse apartment occupying top 4 floors of this 60-storey skyscraper. It was recently sold to well known billionaire Rupert Murdoch for more than $57 million, precisely, $57.25 million! Interesting fact that spins my head is that Rupert bought this penthouse apartment after he lost his Fifth Ave. pad in his divorce from Wendi Deng. Great way to start a new page in life, huh? Take a look at this incredible modern penthouse apartment and let me know what do you think! If you’d had the money, would you take this one or something like this small apartment?
